Satsangs and Welcome Orientation

Satsangs (lit., in the company of the Truth) offer the opportunity to come together to chant, meditate, and study the Guru's teachings. The following events are available to everyone without charge. See the monthly calendars for schedule of events.

Welcome Orientation for Seekers New to the Siddha Yoga Path in the Welcome Center includes a brief 20 minutes introduction to the Siddha Yoga path and the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland. Welcome Orientations generally happen on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. See the current month's calendar.

Siddha Yoga Satsangs are gathering of seekers for the purpose of chanting, meditation, and listening to scriptural teachings or readings. Siddha Yoga Satsangs are generally held on Sundays from
10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Namasankirtana with Music Ensemble is a group chant done in a call and response fashion, with musical accompaniment. On the Siddha Yoga path, namasankirtana refers both to the practice of chanting the divine name and to the chant itself.
